About us

The Cookie Jar was established in 1965 by James & Jean Herron. It has since been a staple for handmade breads and sugary treats for the communities in the small seaside resort of Newcastle in County Down.

The Cookie Jar gained global recognition with our bake at home mixes. Shipping globally meant you where never too far from home to get that famous freshly baked bread smell and consistent taste you know and love.

    James Herron is the current owner of the Cookie Jar. He is the ?3rd? generation of artisan to continue the baker tradition in the family.
